History of Gender Issues in Nursing with Dr. Sheila Byrd, Dr. John Gaines, & Dr. Stacy Powell

Nursing hasn't always been a female dominated profession. Prior to the Civil War, most nurses were men. We discuss the cultural issues that pushed women out of nursing during the antebellum period as well as the relatively recent increase in the number of male nurses.
